NATICK, Mass., Nov. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- As "Cyber Monday," the online version of "Black Friday," fast approaches, a recent survey revealed that 46 percent of working Americans expect to shop for bargains online tomorrow while they are at work.

The study, conducted by Decision Analyst on behalf of BJ''s Wholesale Club, sampled more than 500 working people throughout the United States and coincides with the re-launch of the new BJ''s e-Commerce Web site, www.bjs.com.
Although more than 11 percent said they had been caught shopping by their boss while on the job, the survey showed that the temptation to find a great bargain is so strong, they would spend nearly an hour on average shopping online this Monday instead of working.
The term Cyber Monday refers to the Monday immediately following Black Friday (one of the busiest shopping days of the year for traditional stores), and is considered the ceremonial kick-off of the holiday online shopping season. Like Black Friday, many e-retailers offer some of the most exceptional deals of the year on Cyber Monday.
"Shopping online during the holidays is a growing trend because it allows shoppers to take advantage of online savings while avoiding crowds, traffic and long lines," said Mike Atkinson, Vice President of E-commerce at BJ''s Wholesale Club. "Cyber Monday is sure to be a busy online shopping day and with the launch of our new bjs.com, we''re excited to offer a great shopping experience with many incredible deals."
The redesigned www.bjs.com features a new look and feel, easier navigation, easier-to-read text, thousands of new products and, of course, exceptional deals running today through Cyber Monday, including a 3-person spa for $2,499.99 after $1,000 off, a Magnavox 42" LCD 1080P HD flat panel television for $999.99 after $100 off, a Saeco V''spresso Espresso Machine for $649.99 after $100 off, a complete 15 foot trampoline and enclosure set for $369.99 after $200 off, and 20 percent off a wide selection of designer watches. Other luxury items include diamond jewelry, greenhouses and special "white glove service" accompanying the installation and leveling of pool tables.
The BJ''s survey showed that the desire to shop online at work extends beyond Cyber Monday. Nearly half of those surveyed said they do all their online shopping at work, while 13 percent admitted that they have shopped online while on a conference call; about four percent said they have clicked for deals during a business presentation.
